I know its weird to ask this here, but I just wanna know your opinion about this :)
I'm vegan, I do not eat anything coming from an animal.
Answer 1
i have nothing but respect for vegetarians, vegans or whatever... your choice to abstain from animal products is yours and yours alone.....i'm old, so i can remember a type of stigma associated with vegetarianism, nothing serious, just the typical 'sissy' and/or 'hippy' kind of thing... but that's changed a lot over the last coupla decades, and rightly so-
personally, i'm a carnivore, lol..... i hunt, but only kill what i eat, i don't kill more than i can eat even if permits allow me to... sometimes i keep/use the skin(s)... large game mostly, like deer, elk and boar, but i have been known to have a few rabbits, pheasant and ducks in my freezer too, lol...... i don't hunt as a hobby and i don't hunt for sport... i hunt it only if i intend to eat it, lol...... and i absolutely loathe trophy hunting-
some years ago i stopped hunting, for a while it seemed all i was doing was killing things, lol... so since i couldn't quit working, i quit hunting for a while.... but a few years worth of factory meat(s) woke me up.... i just can't take the stuff that comes from factory farms and stocks the shelves of grocery stores everywhere-
when i sit down to eat, it's comforting to know where your food comes from... i know it came from a healthy animal, i can have a fairly good idea as to the diet of the animal prior to meeting up with me, lol... i know how, where and by whom the meat was butchered/processed, shit like that.... but more importantly, i can be pretty damn sure the meat i'm eating was never pumped full of steroids and/or antibiotics or any of the big commercial vaccines they shoot into factory animals-
so ya, vegetarianism is cool with me, so long as you don't begrudge me that delicious elk roast i got simmering in the crock-pot, hahahaha-
